citrucel-email.gif I just got an email from the Citrucel Brand Manager at GlaxoSmithKline consumer health division about a recent production issue with Citrucel in May:

    Dear Jane Chin,

Thank you for your continued support and interest in Citrucel over the past several weeks. Since unexpected production issues limited the supply of Citrucel Orange and Sugar Free powders in late May, we have received more than 10,000 calls from customers all asking the same question: “Where is my Citrucel?” We are happy to announce that the first new cases of Citrucel Orange shipped a couple of weeks ago. You can expect to see the product on your store’s shelf in the next 2-3 weeks, if not sooner.

For those of you looking for Citrucel Sugar Free powders, we anticipate the product will be back on the shelves shortly. We will continue to update you with the latest news, so make sure to check the website regularly for information. In the meantime, help us get the word out that Citrucel Orange is back!

    Sincerely,

    Rob Schwartz

Wow, I didn’t even know Citrucel Orange was “out” in the first place. Like I said, I hate orange flavors. I’ve been happily sticking with Citrucel Chocolate.

I use the Orange Powder Citrucel and I can’t begin to thank you enough for the difference it has made. It’s the first thing that I’ve tried that really works. I had trouble with constipation for a couple of years and it just makes you feel so miserable. Citrucel has worked wonders for me and I know that I’m getting the fiber that I need also. Thank you so much! FYI… I had trouble finding the Orange Powder for a while too.

Hi Rachael – I’m glad that you got great results from Citrucel Orange.

I’m still sticking with the Citrucel Chocolate. I scooped each dose to clear plastic sandwich bags when I travel, which looks kind of weird when you see rows of chcolate powder in clear plastic.

Traveling can really put a stress on your digestive system especially being in pressurized cabins on a plane. I notice that constipation seems to worsen during traveling.

Disclosure: I am not employed or affiliated in any way with Citrucel or the maker of Citrucel.

I have not been able to find Citrucel sugar free orange in the one serving packets. Will it be back soon?

    Hi Gloria,

I’m not sure if one serving packets are still being made or if there’s another temporary shortage.

Here’s the web address that you can use to contact them with your question:

My doctor recommended Citrucel twice a day. I’ve taken it only 2 times and that was once a day and had bloating and bad gas feeling with lose bowel movements. Should I take less then the tablespoon that is recommended. I’m afraid to take it on days I have to work because I feel so crampy and bloated. Please advise.
    Thanks much,

I use Citrucel Fiber Smoothie. I do not like orange flavors but find that this product suits me. Cannot find this product in the local WalMart that I shop at. It is in Coral Springs in Florida.
Please see if you can get it back on their shelves.
